Wooden: A Lifetime of Observations and Reflections on and Off the Court

The book is set up as a series of quotes. The message gets through, but it reads like a bunch of 50-200 word excerpts from longer works that are cut and pasted together. I guess I was looking for more of the story of what Wooden did, not excerpts from after-dinner speeches.

I loved it. I loved the way she brought all the characters together from some other books as well. I can't wait to the spin off sequels. I have enjoyed all her books, but the original series and Honey B stories were the best so I enjoyed the update on the Characters. I would have to say this is one of her best books in a long time. I love her work and they were all good but this was great.

The Jordan Rules

This book covers the 1st Chicago Bulls championship season and is thoroughly enjoyable. This book does not focus on facts and figures and details of games. It is all about the interaction of the players, the coach and management. I did not want to put this book down. You will likely have heard many of the stories and you may not be overly surprised by many other stories in the book. But, you will not be bored and will be thoroughly entertained. In addition, I think you will be very surprised at many of the stories that were covered 20 years ago.
